Commission FAQ

Q: Do you do commissions?

A: Yes! I take a limited number of commissions each quarter.

Q: What is the process for commissioning a painting?

A: Start by emailing me at Tell me more about what you are looking for, and information helps (size, subject, budget, background, etc.), and we will start there. Once we get started I ask a lot of questions to learn more about what you are looking for, like:

- Is this a gift or for your home or business?

- Tell me more about the subject, does it hold personal meaning? Are there any features you want to be sure are included?

- Do you have color or color palette preferences? ("I love millenial pink!" "There is absolutely no red in my home.")

- Do you have any examples of artwork that you love or inspire you? Are their any pieces from my own collection that resonate with you?

It's actually kind of a fun process. Depending on the subject and client, I sometimes provide sketches to help better determine composition. Once we get started, I will send you a few pictures in process or close to being done to get feedback.

Q: How much does it cost to commission a painting?

A: It really varies based on size, materials, and timeline, but for a general idea you can look at the price of some of my originals in the shop. Again, it can vary based on time and materials, and there may be additional fees for shipping not included in the original estimate. For more detailed pricing information, email me.

Additionally, I typically request a 50% deposit. This deposit covers my initial time and expenses, and additionally serves to ensure you are satisfied before you make the final investment into your painting.

Q: How long does it take?

A: It can vary, but generally allot a month or so for completion.

Q: How can I learn more?

A: Email me at, or fill out the contact form on the website. I hope to hear from you!
